Scottish Quaich

A Quaich is an ancient ceremonial drinking vessel. The design of the Quaich is ingenious. When used in covenant making, vow exchanging, or deal striking, one must lift and drink from the wee cauldron using two hands. Reminding the deal makers that if both do not keep up their ends, the precious contents of the Quaich is lost – and there’s nothing we hate more than spilling a dram.
